Welcome to the Cold Water Shower Challenge!!

I know, I know- sounds painful- but hear me out...

Right before January 1, my husband came to me with a printed chart and said that we are going to be doing a Cold Water Shower Challenge together in Janurary. 5 days out of every week we are to end our showers with very cold water. Each week the time we stay under the cold water will increase. And then he went on to explaining why this cold shower therapy is so good for us….

It is one of the healthiest ways for your body to regulate your internal temperature and it when done regularly, it strengthens your immune system. It is considered a hormetic stressor, meaning exposure to low level toxins can improve your overall health, circulation, joint pain and metabolism.

He got this cold water challenge from a health guru he has been following for a couple years now named, Wim Hof. Have you heard of him?! He has helped many people improve their health by teaching them breathing techniques and doing the cold water challenge with them.

I know you are dying to know if I last the whole month...

And I did!
